5 C’s to Build Unity

Ever wonder what’s the difference between a successful team and a team that just works together? The successful team leads with clarity, balanced contributions, creativity, and compassion, creating a unified atmosphere. Of course, there are other factors that contribute to a successful team but for now, we’ll focus and break down the 5 C’s and why they are important.

Clarity: Clarity plays a crucial part in creating team unity. By stating a clear purpose and clarity of the goals, it ensures that everyone is on the same page to complete the project successfully.

Communications: Clarifying the objectives and being specific, verifying what is in and what is not included in the final specifications of any project. When we define “what” and remove assumptions, we reduce the potential of a misunderstanding.

[Balanced] Contributions: People rise to the occasion when we allow them. When we expect everyone to contribute and let them know they have value, they often surprise themselves with the depth of their contribution. And each step they take in the direction of our shared vision is a step forward. Encouragement and achievement motivates.

Creativity: When creativity flourishes and off-the-wall ideas are heard, teams discover new opportunities.  In teams where we are comfortable with each other, we conceptualize and co-create from a place of “What is possible?”

Compassion: When we hear each other and listen with mindful ears, we open the door to gratitude, understanding, kindness and empathy.

Applying the 5 C’s to your teams will transform your organizational culture. These factors are part of creating a team who perform successfully together. We facilitate building strong collaborative teams through our classes and help your teams build authentic leaders and high performing teams. Turn to us as your resource for new hire and project management classes to keep your projects on track.
